Wild Ahi Tuna Crudo with Harissa, Cilantro, Onion Sprouts

As you can tell I’ve been quite lazy but today however I made it over the Santa Monica farmer’s market for some beautiful produce. I stopped at Santa Monica Seafood after to pick up some tuna for a crudo which I’ve been itching to make for weeks. I was so happy to see their ruby red wild caught ahi tuna because it was so beautiful and fresh. Yes, crudo was on!

I sliced up the tuna carefully trying not to pull on the flesh too much. I marinated the slices super lightly with a bit of Moustaph’s harissa, meyer lemon olive oil, ground coriander and white pepper and chilled it for a lil bit. Right before serving I drizzled a little more meyer lemon olive oil over the top, seasoned with fleur de sel, and a drizzle of lemon juice to brighten everything up. I topped the seasoned fish with chopped cilantro and onion sprouts. Since the marinade was so light the fresh flavor or the fish really stood out. The quality of ingredients is everything.
