Camembert & Asian Pear Chutney

I recently ended a meal with a beautiful wheel of Camembert cheese. It is an AOC-designated, soft-ripened cheese from the Normandy region of France. The flavor is very similar to Brie except maybe more mushroomy which I definitely noticed more this time around. The texture is a lovely ooze that melts in my mouth. I happened to have a jar of Frog Hollow Farm Asian Pear Chutney around and thought it might go well with the cheese The sweet and spiciness of the chutney complemented the mild creamy cheese nicely. Maybe also some roasted nuts for next time.

    i wish frog hollow was closer to la! i’ve gotten their stuff down here but it’s way overpriced, but so delicious.

  2. I used this very same camembert, which I purchased at Trader Joe’s, and baked it in puff pastry as an appetizer for Thanksgiving. It went so well with homemade cranberry sauce.
